How Order Status Affects Inventory
When a bid is saved, the inventory is calculated and reflected in the Needed column. You can compare that Needed value to the Available value. When a bid is converted to Order status, the Needed amount is now reflected in the Allocated column, meaning that that amount of that supply is "reserved" for this job.
Once the order is moved to In Progress, the amounts are reflected in the Used column. If you did not use the full amount or you used more than the stated amount, you can click on that amount in the Used column and change it to reflect the actual amount of that supply used.
Moving an order back a status does not automatically restore the supply to inventory. You will receive a notification before saving that inventory counts will be impacted.
