Price Adjustments

You can use the Adjustments section to add an adjustment across all products. This will not update the pricing formula or the prices set at each attribute, this will only be added on top of those prices.

You can use pricing adjustments to give a different price 'bracket' or 'tier' to separate customers. The recommended way to do this is to first tag each company with a tag that represents their discount tier. For example:

"20% Discount"

"10% Surcharge"

"15% Discount"

etc.

Then, you can go into your pricing adjustments, from settings, and create an adjustment that targets each tag that you created, from the "Company" drop down menu. Choose "Use Tags", then enter or search for the tag that corresponds to the adjustment.

Now, you can create a new order, select a company that has that tag and the order will be adjusted accordingly. Remember to choose the company FIRST so that Allmoxy loads in the applicable adjustments, otherwise you will see an un-adjusted price.

You can create an adjustment for a single company, without using tags, and it will work just the same.

Here are some things to remember when using multiple price adjustments at one time:

1) All adjustments apply off the base price. If your base price is $10 for an item, and you apply both a 200% surcharge and a 50% discount, then you would have $20 after the surcharge -$5 for the 50% discount for a total price of $15.00

2)Each adjustment applies PER item. That means the priority is reset for each one of them. When you have a 25% discount and a $25 discount, an individual item has to be over $100 for the percentage to be more. EXCEPT...

2) "Biggest" means largest number. This actually means the smallest discount, because -15 is technically bigger than -30. This is in instead of comparing by absolute terms because that has its own problems... because absolute value of (-15) is bigger than the absolute value of (10), meaning the $15 discount would take effect over the $10 surcharge, but it would flip if the surcharge was $20.

It's important to be aware of how your pricing adjustments are set up to ensure that they're having the intended effect. One key consideration is your priority settings, which can impact which adjustments take effect in a given scenario.

Before making any changes to your pricing adjustments, be sure to review your priority settings and ensure that there isn't an adjustment overriding the one you want to take effect. This can help you avoid unintended consequences and ensure that your pricing is applied consistently across all orders.

Another important factor to consider is the way in which manual discounts interact with surcharges and other adjustments. If you apply a manual discount in the 'discount box' while a surcharge is already applied to the order, the discount will be applied AFTER all adjustments have been made. This can lead to different amounts than you might expect.

On the other hand, when you use a tag to apply a discount, the discount will be applied BEFORE any adjustments are made. This can help you ensure that the final price is calculated correctly and that your customers are getting the best possible deal.

By being mindful of these factors and carefully managing your pricing adjustments, you can maintain greater control over your pricing and ensure that your business is operating at peak efficiency. This can help you maximize your profitability and achieve your long-term goals.

Exempt Certain Products from Discount
If you are using a price adjustment then yes. In the conditions, you are able to say "If the product is not *select from drop-down* then apply this discount".
