Requested Ship Date and Actual Ship Date
When your customer is placing an order, in the sidebar, they will see an option that says "Requested Date" with a date bar underneath. Your customer can request when they would like this order to be shipped.
As the employee, you can adjust the "Actual Date" with the date you expect to ship this order.
This "Actual Date" box will automatically update to the date that the order is marked Shipped in the system.
You are able to adjust what the estimated ship date will default to by adjusting your "Default Lead Time" in the order level settings. The default lead time is calendar days, so in this example it is: order date + 5 calendar days.
Note: If the Actual Date is changed from the Requested Date, it’d be a good idea to let the client know via triggered email or any other form of communication that works best.
