Follow an order through production

See which labor process steps an order has been through in Allmoxy, its status history, and the total time clocked to it.

Once your team clocks job time, every order carries its own history: which steps are done, which is in progress, when the status changed, and how many hours each step took. Here is where to look.

Applies to: anyone tracking an order's progress. Needs production lines and job time tracking in use (see Track job time).

On the order

  • Production tab. Open the order and click Production. It lists the order's clocked entries as a process history: each step with who clocked it and when, and In Progress next to a step that is still running. Use the production line filter to see one line at a time.
  • Status History. In the Order Info section of the order's sidebar, click Status History to see every status change with its date and time, including moves made by clocking a process.
  • Resource Allocation tab. After the order has shipped, the same history is still available here.

Total time on a job

Go to Reports > Managerial > Time Tracking. Filter by date range, employee or order status to see the entries, with the total hours on each order. Click the pencil at the end of a row to correct an entry (needs Edit His or Her Own Time Tracking for your own, Edit Other Users Time Tracking for anyone's).

For time by step across orders use Reports > Production > Process Details; for hours by order and by employee use Work Summary.

Things to know

  • An order that jumped back to In Progress, or out of Shipped, was clocked against a process whose category auto-updates to that status. Status History shows the move and the Time Tracking report shows the clock at that time. Re-ship the order and see Set up production lines to adjust the category's Auto Update.
  • Clocked hours never change an order's price. They appear in reports only, including Order Results Comparison, which costs them at each employee's current wage.
