Use the timecard scanner and badges
Print employee timecard badges in Allmoxy, turn any shop computer into a timecard scanning station, and fix a badge that will not scan.
The timecard scanner lets employees clock their work day in and out by scanning a badge, without logging in to Allmoxy. Any shop computer with a barcode scanner can be the station.
Applies to: shops tracking work-day hours. Printing badges for other employees needs the Edit Any Timecard permission.

What you need
A barcode scanner connected to the computer and set to Code 128, the same setup as every other Allmoxy scanner. Each employee needs an hourly wage or weekly salary on their contact record; see Set up time tracking.
Print a timecard badge
On an employee's Home page (or the Time Card tab of their contact page), click Print a Timecard next to the Clock In button. Print the card-sized page and hand it to the employee.
Printing a new badge replaces the old one, so the previous card stops working. If a badge goes missing, print a new one.
Set up a scanning station
- On the station computer, sign in as a manager.
- Click the avatar in the top right and choose Timecard Scanner.
- Leave the page open. The computer is now ready for employees to scan.
As soon as anyone navigates away from the Timecard Scanner page, Allmoxy logs out the user who opened it, so the station is safe to leave running for everyone. To restart it, a manager signs in and opens Timecard Scanner again.
How employees use it
Employees scan their badge to clock in, and scan again to clock out. No login, no menus. Clocking out also closes any job clocks they left running. A code the station does not recognize shows "no user found"; the badge has usually been replaced by a newer print.
A badge will not scan
Print the badge larger. In the print dialog set the scale above 100% (200% is a safe choice); a bigger barcode is far easier for the scanner to read. If it still fails, check the scanner is set to Code 128 and print a fresh badge.
