Set the language for your site and for each person
Choose the language Allmoxy shows: a site default on Theme Settings and a Default Language per contact, what stays in English, how to report a translation.
Allmoxy can show its screens in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish. Set a default for your whole site, then set each person's own language on their contact; a person's choice wins over the site default.
Applies to: every shop. The site default needs the Edit the site settings permission. A person's language is set by editing their contact.

Set your site's language
- Go to Settings > Admin > Theme.
- Set Default Language.
- Save.
Everyone who hasn't set a language of their own now sees the site in this language.
Set one person's language
- Open the contact you want to change (an employee or a customer contact).
- Click Edit.
- Set Default Language.
- Click Submit.
That person now sees the site in their language, whatever the site default is.
What stays in English
- The newer screens (the new reports, the Importer and the payment pages) show English today.
- The password reset, task, announcement and invoice-shipped emails are always in English. Trigger emails use whatever wording you write.
Report a translation problem
Language is ever-evolving. If you're a native speaker of any of the languages we offer and you notice a wrong or awkward translation, we want to hear from you. Send the screen, the wording you saw and what it should say to Allmoxy support. Your feedback helps us refine the language experience for every shop that uses Allmoxy in your language.
Things to know
- Time zone is set the same way: a site default on the Theme page and a person's own on their contact. See Theme settings: what each setting does.
- Customers can be set too. Edit the customer's contact the same way, and they'll order in their language.
